You’ve built Inyo with a formal quality that the space hasn’t seen before: something warm, intimate, and attuned to the kind of self-expression that is often disregarded when people are asked to put themselves out there. It’s an attractive model with a unique upside.
The design of the product reveals itself during a real night in the city. Physical spaces, events, occasions, and encounters are the material of Inyo’s public face. These moments are yours to author as Inyo’s cultural presence. Right now, the night out happens to land wherever it lands.
Inyo can be as expressive in public as it is careful in private; the city can meet the brand before its users. A matchmaker with a presence in the city is a different kind of company — effectiveness that people can walk into, and membership that outlasts the match.
OFFICE ONE ONE is a design practice out of Harvard GSD; we’re applying experimental models of architectural production to new mediums and new sectors. Inyo’s built form — the rooms, the nights, the objects — is the kind of architecture we work with.
Hena has her own version of this letter. If it lands with you two, we’d be interested in twenty minutes with you and her to sketch the look and feel of the first setting that Inyo builds.
